RESUMEN
La observación de procesos patológicos y otras alteraciones esqueléticas ofrece una perspectiva no solo de la causa de la muerte, sino de otros múltiples factores que pueden ayudar en la identificación y otros aspectos de la investigación. Estas áreas de estudio incluyen la determinación de la antigüedad, origen cultural, condiciones antemortem, modo de vida, ocupación y procesos postmortem.

ABSTRACT
Observations on pathology and other abnormal conditions offer insights not only into cause and manner of death but many other factors that can assist with identification and other aspects of the investigation. These areas of inquiry include the determination of antiquity, cultural origin, antemortem conditions, lifestyle, occupation and postmortem events.
